Program Syllabus & Description

The Crane Operator Certification Program verifies technical operational competency in mobile cranes, overhead cranes, or gantry cranes in strict compliance with national lifting equipment occupational safety regulations.

Learning Focus

  • Safe Working Load (SWL) calculations, boom length, lifting radius, and outrigger ground stabilization.
  • Standard hand signals and two-way radio communication between crane operators and certified riggers.
  • Inspection and condemnation criteria for wire rope slings, webbing slings, shackles, and lifting hooks.
  • Practical lifting trials for high-risk critical loads and precision maneuvering in open industrial yards.
